Compliance
Trainers will have a minimum of Workplace Trainer/Assessor Certificate IV. All assessors are certified by WorkCover Authority to assess for National Certificate of Competency for Forklift and/or Orderpicker. The training material utilised has been produced in accordance with Australian Standard® 2359.2 Our reputation for quality and efficiency is well recognised in industry with over 40 years of combined experience.
Please note: Group sizes are based on one trainer/assessor.
Linde offers 5 types of Forklift Driver Training:
1. Pre-Assessment Training
- Preparing forklift operators to maximise their chances in achieving forklift competence.
- Minimise the need for re-assessment.
- Familiarisation with National Assessment Instruments.
- Correct operational techniques for Loadshifting Forklifts and/or Loadshifting Orderpickers.
- General requirements, knowledge and skills needed to undertake assessment.
Group Size: Up to 5 forklift operators
Duration: 2 – 4 hours
2. Forklift License Assessments
- Assess and issue qualifications for National Certificate of Competence in Loadshifting, Forklift (LF) and Orderpickers (LO)
- Interim certificate issued on successful completion.
- Assist with advice on processing of Notice of Satisfactory Assessment to obtain formal license from local State Authority, where relevant.
- Maximise your operator’s chances for obtaining competency by selecting Course 1 above - Pre-assessment training.
- Note this process varies between states
Group Size: Up to 8 forklift operators
Duration: 2hrs plus
3. Forklift Refresher Training
- Ensure operators hold correct certificate of competence for equipment they are using.
- For employers who wish to ensure they satisfy OH&S authorities obligations.
- Ideal for those operators having problems with issues such as:
– damaging stock
– accidents
– not adhering to OH&S regulations
- Can be used to bring operators up to national standard.
Group Size: Up to 5 forklift operators
Duration: 1 – 4 hrs
4. Walkie Stacker / Pallet Truck Training
At present there are no requirements to hold a license to operate a pedestrian forklift. It is however, the responsibility of an employer to provide a safe workplace. Pedestrian forklift operators, irrespective of whether they hold a forklift license, are required to be trained in the correct and safe use of this type of equipment. This training covers:
– Operator responsibilities
– Operator daily checks
– Safe operating techniques
– Battery maintenance
Group Size: Up to 3 forklift operators
Duration: 1 – 2hrs
5. Tailored Forklift Training Packages
Training programs can be created to satisfy the particular needs of any site, especially those that handle unusual or hazardous goods. Linde can also train operators required to use forklift accessories such as:
– Work Platforms
– Slipper Forks
– Jib Handling
– Drum Rotators

Duration: From 1 hr plus
6. Forklift Equipment Familiarisation
Ideal for new employees or at the time of equipment changeover.
This program includes:
– Operating procedures
– Operator daily checks
– Work through operator handbooks
– Look at the differences between the old and new technologies
– General maintenance and safety issues
– Legislation changes
– Evaluation of operators ability on equipment.
Group Size: up to 5 forklift operators
Duration: 1 hr
7. New Forklift Equipment Induction
There is no better time to protect your investment in forklifts than immediately upon delivery. Informed and trained operators will better protect your staff, stock and forklifts.
Operators will be inducted on:
– Operating procedures
– Operator daily checks
– The differences between the old and the new forklifts
– General maintenance and safety issues.

Duration: 1 – 2 hrs
